History
Glass production has a long tradition in the Czech Republic. Glass has been produced on its territory since the time of the Celtic tribes. The production of traditional Czech glass, as we know it today, has its roots at the end of the 13th century.
The glass factory in Poděbrady was founded in 1876 and became the first glass factory in Central Bohemia. However, the glass factory experienced great growth and the beginning of the production of world-famous crystal only after it was bought by businessman Jozef Inwald from Vienna. After this purchase, there was a period of prosperity and new facilities were also built, including a sanding shop and an etching shop. After several periods of boom and downturn in production, Czech crystal finally established its stable place on the market. Today, Bohemia Crystal exports to 52 countries. ABOUT US.

Czech crystal is made from ecological raw material CRYSTALLIT, which does not contain lead. Compared to the traditionally used lead crystal, this modern and ecological raw material is of higher quality, stronger and has better utility properties.
